SETTLING INTO SUMMER

May is officially here, and if you're a Miami family, you know exactly what that means, the final school countdown is ON, the summer planning is in full swing, and somehow the to-do list just keeps growing. 😁Between end-of-year events and figuring out what the next chapter looks like, it's a busy season in the best way. Speaking of next chapters, the real estate market doesn't slow down for summer, and whether you're wrapping up a home search or just starting to think about one, I've got some things worth knowing.

NEW VIRRICK PARK POOL

Coral Pine Park Reopens

The renovated nine-acre park returns with tennis, pickleball, a playground, a multipurpose field, and preserved green space.

POSSIBLE SECOND AIRPORT

MINI MEMORIAL DAY GETAWAY

Earlier this year we had the pleasure of exploring the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, and it did not disappoint. It’s just far enough to decompress without the chaos of a big trip, and the resort basically does the parenting for you.

The kids were obsessed with the waterslides, lazy river, rock climbing wall, and the daily activities the hotel puts on. Rooms were spacious and reasonably priced. We also snuck out for a round of mini golf at Congo River Golf and a really great seafood dinner at Coconut Jack’s, both worth it.

💡 Parent Pro Tip

If your kids are close in age like mine but happen to be different heights, prepare yourself. There are height requirements for the waterslides, and nothing tests sibling harmony quite like one kid getting the green light and the other not. Have that conversation at home, not at the top of the slide.

Coco’s Corner

It’s getting really, really hot outside, which means one thing - ICE CREAM TIME!
Here are our must-visit spots: Cry Baby Creamery (cool Miami flavors and SO yummy cookies), Whip ’n Dip (Dad’s lifelong favorite, mint chip forever), the Gelato Stand at Narbona (super creamy and a little fancy), and Azucar (the most fun flavors we’ve ever tasted).
MOST important, if you’re near Kennedy Park, the AC Icee Truck. Stop everything and RUN to get in line. Trust us.

Mother’s Day Glow Starts Here

If you haven’t heard of Gee Beauty yet, consider this your official introduction. I recently stopped by their new South Miami location, and it was exactly the kind of afternoon I didn’t know I needed.
The beauty consultants were knowledgeable, warm, and completely followed my lead, which if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed at a beauty counter, you know is everything. They helped me update my skincare routine and gave me a much-needed makeup refresh. My routine has basically been on autopilot since college!
I left feeling genuinely glowy and refreshed, the kind of treatment every mom deserves. Whether it’s a gift or for yourself, this is one you’ll be glad you booked.
