Zillow and Redfin Ban Private Listings:
What It Means for You
Zillow and Redfin recently announced they will no longer allow privately marketed "pocket listings" on their platforms. This change gives buyers fuller access to available homes and helps sellers reach more potential buyers. For buyers, it means fewer missed opportunities; for sellers, it can lead to stronger offers through increased competition. Our team is here to guide you through what this means for your next move—call us at (305) 301-3462 with any questions.

- Blend strawberries and fill molds â…“ of the way for the red layer. Freeze for 30–45 minutes.
- Add a layer of vanilla yogurt for the white. Freeze again until just firm.
- Blend blueberries for the blue layer. Fill molds, add sticks, and freeze until solid.
Tip: Talk about the red symbolizing bravery, white for hope, and blue for loyalty while you make them together.

Summer Skincare Q&A with
Dr. Joely Kaufman at Skin Associates
As we head into the sunnier months, we had a few questions about staying safe in the sun. We reached out to expert dermatologist Dr. Joely Kaufman to get her take on sunscreen, skincare, and smart summer habits for the whole family. She breaks it all down in this quick and helpful Q&A:
Q: What are a few drugstore skincare products you recommend that deliver real results without the high price tag?
A: There are some over-the-counter product categories that offer great ways to keep your skincare routine within a budget. Gentle cleansers, like CeraVe, are great for sensitive skin. Some excellent brands with strong scientific backing at reasonable prices include EltaMD, Neutrogena, La Roche-Posay, and Avène. I don’t think you need to spend a fortune on cleansers or sunscreens, but sometimes you may need to invest more in active ingredients for anti-aging—such as more potent retinols, peptides, and exosomes.
Q: What should parents look for when choosing sunscreen for young children in Miami’s intense sun?
A: For children, I prefer to use zinc or titanium (non-chemical) sunscreens. Just because the bottle says “kids” or “baby” doesn’t mean it’s chemical-free—always check the ingredient list.
Q: Can you explain the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreens—and is one clearly better?
A: Mineral sunscreens, which include zinc and titanium, act as a physical barrier. These are now often labeled "inorganic," which can be misleading in our world of "organic" labels. They are non-chemical, less likely to cause allergic reactions, and do not need to penetrate the skin to be effective—so they can be applied right before sun exposure. Chemical sunscreens, on the other hand, do penetrate the skin and need to be applied 30 minutes before sun exposure. Their main advantage is that they are generally more water-resistant than mineral options.
Q: Are spray sunscreens a safe and effective option, or should we be cautious when using them?
A: Sprays are very convenient and come in both physical and chemical versions. However, they typically offer a lighter and less complete application, so they don’t always provide thorough protection.
Q: When choosing sun-protective hats or visors, what features actually make a difference?
A: Look for clothing that has UPF (like SPF, but for fabrics). Three of my favorite brands— all based in South Florida—are BloqUV, LiveJoJu, and Belasol Clothing.
Q: What are the most commonly missed areas when applying sunscreen?
A: The neck and décolletage are often missed, even though they receive sun exposure every day. In Miami, most of my patients are diligent about applying sunscreen to their faces, but they often forget these other high-exposure areas.
Q: How frequently should sunscreen really be reapplied during a typical summer day in Miami?
A: Every two hours when you’re in the sun.
